Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Price Cut in India Again   Xiaomi Mi Mix 2, the company's premium bezel-less display smartphone from last year, has received yet another price cut in India. The handset was launched by Xiaomi in India back in October 2017. It had arrived in a single variant in India priced at Rs. 35,999. But, with the latest price cut, the Mi Mix 2 is available for Rs. 29,999. Notably, it is a permanent price drop and is applicable on Mi.com, Mi Home, and official partners such as Flipkart. The price of the Mi Mix 2 was first slashed by Rs. 3,000 in January this year. It was available for Rs. 32,999. The new price represents a price cut of an additional Rs. 3,000, making it significantly cheaper than its primary competitors at that price point. The Chinese mobile maker made the announcement on one of its forums. Meanwhile, there is still no word on whether the company will launch the Mi Mix 2S in India. Last month, the company had said that FIH Mobile, a subsidiary of world's largest contract electronics manufacturer Foxconn , will manufacture its Finney blockchain smartphone, which is designed to securely store and use digital currencies such as Bitcoin in fee-less transactions. Xiaomi Mi 7 and 8th Anniversary Edition Phone Tipped to Launch in May; May Be Called Mi 8 Instead .  Chinese mobile maker Xiaomi is expected to launch the successor to its premium Mi 6 smartphone this year. Xiaomi fans were expecting a Mi 7 handset to be launched at MWC 2018, but that did not happen, and the company went on to unveil the Mi Mix 2S in March.                          FACEBOOK CRYPTOCURRENCY After  Facebook  confirmed it is creating a new  Blockchain  group, fresh media reports have claimed that the social networking giant is also exploring the creation of its own cryptocurrency. According to the tech website Cheddar, Facebook is  "very serious about it" . However, "people familiar with the matter said the social network doesn't have plans to hold a so-called initial coin offering (ICO) by offering a limited number of virtual tokens for the public to buy at a set price," the report said late Friday. The Chinese mobile maker has sent an invite to launch a new handset in the country on May 29. Earlier this month, Vivo had introduced the X21 UD in  international markets , following a  launch in China  in March.
